One of the most popular franchises in Tamil cinema, director Venkat Prabhu’s Chennai 600028 films have earned a cult following over the years.
The second sports comedy film, Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings, released in 2016 too went on to become a huge box office hit while also drawing massive praise from critics as well.
Now, two stars from Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings - Vaibhav and Nithin Sathya are all set to join hands for a film soon.
To be produced by Nithin Sathya, this upcoming film will be helmed by a debutant director and will be a crime thriller with reports stating it could be a multi-starrer with a big name from television also being planned to be roped in.
Furthermore, the project which will reportedly see Vaibhav as the lead star will be his next after the upcoming Kaatteri with the debut director for this untitled venture said to be a former associate of a big director, who managed to create quite an impression. As of now an official statement is awaited, which we can expect sometime soon in the days ahead.
