Popular director calls Vadivelu a "mental"
Lovingly called by fans as ‘Vaigai Puyal’, Vadivelu went on to become a global phenomenon when the “Pray for Neasamani” hashtag went on to trend across social networking forums. The comedy legend’s name has been in the news of late after he made a few controversial remarks against directors Shankar and Chimbudeven, which have not gone down well with those in the film fraternity. In a response now, cinematographer turned director, Vijay Milton, the man behind the Goli Soda films, took to Twitter to express his disappointment at Vadivelu.
Vijay Milton tweeted saying, “If a sutthiyal (hammer) falls on a person’s head, I guess it will make that person mental even after many years. We have a lot of nesam (love) for you ayya Nesamani. Please don’t kick ladders around you and spoil that. Don’t forget the creators.”
Vadivelu was last seen in ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Mersal and fans have been waiting with much anticipation for a word on his next after filming on the Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi sequel, Imsai Arasan 24am Pulikesi, was brought to an indefinite halt in 2017.
