Vaanavil Vaazhkai was a musical excursion for me - James Vasanthan
TV anchor James Vasanthan is one of the very few male anchors who have created a fan base for them with their unique style. He became a music director with Sasikumar's Subramaniapuram, which was a surprise for many but he proved that he can be successful as a musician too.
But, he did not settle there, he is now a director and his directorial debut Vaanavil Vaazhkai is releasing on March 13, earlier scheduled for February 20 release. In an exclusive interview for Galatta, he spoke about the movie and his experience as a first time director.
The entire crew was happy and they kept saying it was a fun experience shooting and they never felt any pressure. When we questioned the director if it was difficult for him to work with first time actors, he replied that he was also a first time director.
He has not worked as an assistant to anyone before. So, everything was new for him as well. Since all of them were passionate musicians, the 40 day shoot was like a musical excursion, he commented. We hope the energy and happiness of the team is transferred on screen as well.
