Urumeen, which is all set to hit the screens this Friday, is touted to be a revenge drama spanning three generations. Directed by Shakthivel Perumalsamy, the film has Bobby Simha, Reshmi Menon and Kalaiyarasan in lead roles. While speaking to a leading daily, the director said, "While the first few minutes will feature motion capture animation, the action then moves to present-day Chennai, before going into flashback mode to the days of British rule." Produced by Dillibabu, Sri Thenandal Films has acquired the release rights and is planning for a wide-scale release. The director further added, “The villain was inspired by a real-life incident – something that I read in the papers – but made a little more stylish."
