The dramedy Nimir directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Priyadarshan has quite a lot working its way ahead of its release this week on January 26.

Produced under the Moonshoot Entertainment with music by Darbuka Siva, Nimir has Udhayanidhi Stalin, Parvatii Nair and Namitha Pramod playing the female leads with an ensemble cast featuring the likes of J. Mahendran, Samuthirakani, M. S. Bhaskar, Karunakaran, Aruldoss, Ganja Karuppu, Imman Annachi among others.

For those uninitiated, Nimir is an official remake of the 2016 smash success, Maheshinte Prathikaaram, which had Fahadh Faasil, Aparna Balamurali and Anusree Nair in lead roles.

Speaking to Galatta in an exclusive interview, Udhayanidhi Stalin shed light on his role as well as the special factor that sets Nimir apart from its Malayalam original.

Udhay revealed that Nimir will be visually arresting as the makers have taken additional efforts to make it a fantastic feast for the eyes.

A lot is riding on Nimir for Udhayanidhi Stalin as his previous remake, Manithan, in 2016 helped establish him as a performer to be reckoned.
