A film that was announced rather quietly, 'Superstar' Rajinikanth’s upcoming next to be directed by acclaimed young filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj took literally everybody in the industry as well as among fans by complete surprise.
Tentatively being called Thalaivar 165, the film to be produced under the Sun Pictures banner with composer Anirudh Ravichander announced to handle the music department.
Expected to roll into production sometime around the start of the second half 2018, Karthik Subbaraj had met Rajinikanth last week to discuss regarding their Thalaivar 165.
Meanwhile, there has been much debate as to who would be cast opposite Rajinikanth as the female lead in the film.
That being said, reports are now doing the rounds stating actress Trisha is a contender as Rajinikanth’s heroine in Thalaivar 165.
Although nothing is set in stone yet, it is believed the makers have not made any announcements due to the ongoing Tamil Film Producers Council strike.
Looks like Rajinikanth's fans will have to wait some more time to learn who will have bagged the coveted role opposite their idol.
