The news around actor Vijay's upcoming movie, Mersal has been intense in the past few days. With the teaser launch poster relesing almost two and a half months after the release of first look poster, the hype around the film has been building up for quite some time now. The teaser launch poster was released earlier this week. What the fans missed is that, there's a reason behind the teaser launching today! 

The 21st of September 2017 marks director Atlee's 30th birthday. Atlee Kumar is directing Mersal, which is the director's third project, and his second with actor Vijay. Mersal teaser releases at 6 PM today.
