Tamil Nadu has seen rapid development in recent times in the political scenario after 'Superstar' Rajinikanth announced his entry not too long back.

'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan too announced he would be flagging off his political tour from February 21.

Vishal too made a notable impression despite having his nomination being rejected to contest in the recently concluded R. K. Nagar constituency elections.

That said, there has been much debate for many years whether 'Thalapathy' Vijay too would follow suit.

It is known to all that prior to the release of his Thalaivaa in 2013, which carried the tagline "Time To Lead", Vijay’s films didn’t carry heavy political messages and were rather focused on social issues.

Likewise, his Kaththi in 2014 too struck a chord with the masses when Vijay spoke a dialogue on the 2G spectrum case.

Meanwhile, Vijay’s fans under the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam have for many years engaged in welfare activities on the occasion of the star’s birthday. It must be noted that he had launched the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam few years back to bring all his fans together under the same roof.

In that light, Vijay has now announced that a database is being created under the www.vijaymakkaliyyakam.in website so all his fans can enroll. Likewise, he has also instructed all the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam District Secretaries to bring together all his fans on his site, who will then be provided login access.

This latest move by 'Thalapathy' Vijay has now sparked off a debate whether he too will be announcing his entry into politics next.
