An announcement that took Rajinikanth fans everywhere by immense surprise was Sun Pictures making it official the 'Superstar' collaborating with young acclaimed filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj for a film tentatively being called Thalaivar 165.
In addition, another big announcement came earlier this month in the form of composer Anirudh Ravichander for the musical score making it a first time team up for him with Karthik Subbaraj and Rajinikanth.
Meanwhile, reports yesterday surfaced that Karthik Subbaraj had visited Rajinikanth at his residence for a discussion which is said to have lasted for about an hour.
That being said, the reason for their meeting is said to have been about the script discussion of Thalaivar 165 along with plans for expanding the cast and technical crew. Although no production date has been revealed yet, filming is expected to begin sometime before the second half of 2018.
Apparently, Thalaivar 165 reportedly was conceived three years back and before Kabali when Karthik Subbaraj had narrated the story to Rajinikanth.
