A film that has left fans curious quite a lot, Thalaivar 165, as it is tentatively been titled is being directed by acclaimed young filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj under the Sun Pictures banner with ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth in the lead role.
Thalaivar 165 is exquisite for its casting which also includes ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi, who as per reports could be playing the antagonist.
That being said, latest reports across certain sections of the media now state Malayalam actor and National Award winner Fahadh Faasil has been roped in to play Rajinikanth’s friend in Thalaivar 165.
Fahadh Faasil made quite a big impression with a solid performance in last year’s hit film, Velaikkaran, alongside Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara.
The upcoming film, as known to all by now features quite a diverse cast with National Award-winning actor Bobby Simha included and will begin its second schedule in the days ahead at Madurai after the first schedule wrapped up at Darjeeling last week.
Actress Megha Akash, who hasn’t yet been officially confirmed to be starring in the project is also said to be a part of Thalaivar 165.
And, last but not the least, the film will feature music by one of the most happening composers in the nation, Anirudh Ravichander.
