It’s been over two weeks since one of our nation’s greatest actors, Sridevi Kapoor, passed away.
Hailed as the first female superstar of India, a prayer meeting in remembrance of Sridevi was held yesterday in Chennai which saw many personalities from the Tamil film fraternity take part to extend their condolences and support to her family including her husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Jahnvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
That said, the meeting saw actor Ajith and his wife Shalini as among the first celebrities to pay their homage at Sridevi’s residence yesterday morning.
It must be noted Shalini had immediately flown to Mumbai last month to pay her final respects to Sridevi after hearing the news of her demise.
Meanwhile, reports have now sprung up stating 'Thala' Ajith could likely do a film next for Boney Kapoor, who happens to be a producer.
Fans will know Ajith made a cameo appearance in Sridevi's hit English Vinglish released in 2012, which eventually made them come together as close friends.
Although not official at this point, the reports further state this project could be helmed by Sathuranga Vettai and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru filmmaker H. Vinoth.
That said, we need to treat this news as a speculation at this point considering the huge loss Boney Kapoor suffered recently with the demise of his wife, Sridevi.
In the meantime, Ajith is set to begin work soon on his upcoming Viswasam opposite 'Lady Superstar' Nayanthara under Siva’s direction to be produced by Sathya Jyothi Films with music by D. Imman.
