One of the most exciting films coming out this year, Suriya’s Thaanaa Serndha Koottam was announced to be a Pongal release.
Directed by Vignesh Shivan under the Studio Green banner with music by Anirudh Ravichander, TSK has an ensemble star cast featuring names like Keerthy Suresh, Karthik, Ramya Krishnan, Senthil, RJ Balaji, Kalaiyarasan, Nandha, Thambi Ramaiah, Anandaraj, Sathyan among others.
Thaanaa Serndha Koottam had run into a bit of a trouble over the past few days as a case had been filed on the film by actor Prashanth’s mother, Shanthi Thyagarajan, under the claim that she had reportedly acquired the rights to the Bollywood film, Special 26, on which the Tamil version has been made.
Meanwhile, producer K. E. Gnanavelraja went ahead with all the evidence he had to prove that he held the rights for the remake after which the Chennai High Court proceeded to lift the ban on TSK clearing it for a Pongal release.
This will no doubt be a big relief for Suriya and Keerthy Suresh’s fans who have been waiting for a long time to watch the film.
