Tejashree at No. 1 position?
The song ‘Chinna Veeda Varattuma’ in her debut in Arjun-starrer Ottran turned the spotlight on Tejashree, one of the svelte and stylish heroines in Kollywood. Since then, she has done 16 films in Tamil and over 15 in Telugu. Her roles range from one song-and-dance sequences to meaty supporting roles and lead parts. Recently, she has also stopped doing item numbers and is concentrating more on performance-oriented roles.
This´┐Żdream girl of Tamil cinema also has´┐Żacted alongside renowned mass heroes. With´┐ŻVijay it was in´┐ŻMadurey, with Dhanush in Athu Oru Kana Kaalam, with Madhavan in Arya and Srikanth in Joot. She´┐Żwas the second heroine in the Jayam Ravi-Trisha starrer Something Something and Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi.
Does she think she has reached the number one position? “I don’t belive in the numbers game,” smiles Tejashree. But with a string of heroine´┐Żoffers´┐Żin two Tamil, a Kannada and a Telugu film, she is confident of proving herself.
