It’s official - the Nadigar Sangam elections will be taking place on June 23 with the South Indian Artistes' Association (SIAA) now making a request to the Tamil Film Producers’ Council (TFPC) to cancel shooting of all films on that particular day.
In order to facilitate all members getting the chance to cast their vote, the Nadigar Sangam has come together with the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, Tamil Film Producers’ Council and the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) to cancel the shooting of all films on the said date.

The Nadigar Sangam elections this year will see actor Vishal’s team, which consists of Karthi, Ponvannan, Karunas and Nasser going against Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh and RK Suresh, who have been revealed to be the only opponents at this point of time. The venue of the Nadigar Sangam elections has been finalized to be the Sathya Studios of RA Puram at the Dr. MGR Janaki Arts and Science College with all members expected to participate and cast their votes.
