We had earlier reported that Telugu indsutry has decided to strike from March 1 due to the high proce by Digital Service Providers Qube and UFO. The Telugu Film Producers announced that not only the release in Theatres, even shooting will not happen from March 1 until the prices go down. Now, we have an official update from the Tamil Film Producers Council that the Tamil Film Producers will also support this strike and that there will be no theatre releases and shooting from March 1.

There is also a speculation that Qube is ready to sit for a discussion and reduce the price but TFPC never contacted them and Tamil Film Producers pay the least amount compared to other states. An official update on this awaited. If things don't go well and if the strike prolongs for a long time, a lot of confusions and delays will happen in the schedule of Tamil Films lined up for summer release. Some of the movies scheduled for this summer are:

Nadigaiyar Thilagam

Ghajinikanth

Kaali

Party

Mr. Chandramouli

Thamizh Padam 2.0

Dhruva Natchathiram
