Suriya is having 2 releases in a year after 2016 with Selvaraghavan's NGK on the first half of the year and KV Anand's Kaappaan, releasing on August 30th. He is currently busy filming for Soorarai Potru and now, its music director in his personal social media handle has revealed that Senthil Ganesh of Vijay TV's Super Singer fame has sung the opening track for Suriya. G V Prakash Kumar wrote, "Yes the opening track of #SooraraiPottru @Suriya_offl is a dance folk number penned by yegadasi and sung by Senthil Ganesh #sudhakongra" Check out his official tweet!
Soorarai Pottru is the second directorial venture of Sudha Kongara, which is bankrolled by Suriya himself under the banner 2D Entertainment. With Sarvam Thaala Mayam fame, Aparna Balamurali as the female lead, U-turn cinematographer Niketh Bommireddy will crank the camera, editing will be done by Sathish Suriya for Soorarai Pottru.
Very recently a folk number from Suriya's Kaappaan was out and Siriki became an instant hit, leaving the fans humming it continually. So certainly, this opening track announcement would up lift the expectations of the song. We shall wait and see if G V Prakash Kumar surpasses them.
