A project that has fans quite excited already despite production expected to kick-off only in 2019, Suriya 38 will see actor Suriya team up with Irudhi Suttru director Sudha Kongara.
Reportedly, the film will be produced under Suriya’s 2D Entertainment banner with music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, who described Suriya 38 to be one of the most important films in Indian cinema history.
GVP had also stated he wants to make the music on a different dimension altogether similar to his work on Selvaraghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan.
Meanwhile, reports are now doing the rounds quoting Suriya 38 will likely be a period film, which will roll into production once Suriya completes his film with KV Anand under the Lyca Productions banner, which is tentatively now titled Suriya 37.
It must be noted the last time Suriya appeared in a film that included period portions was in A. R. Murugadoss’s 7Aum Arivu, which featured the actor play Bodhidharma, the son of a great Tamil king of the Pallava dynasty in ancient China.
As of now, Suriya is working on NGK under Selvaraghavan’s direction opposite Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh after which he will progress to Suriya 37.
