One among the many exciting films coming out this year, Suriya’s Kaappaan ranks in the top tier of the most awaited ventures and is being directed by KV Anand with whom the actor is collaborating for the third time after their previous films, Ayan and Maattrraan.
A Lyca Productions venture, Kaappaan has music by Harris Jayaraj and is a multi-starrer featuring names like Mohanlal, Sayyeshaa, Arya, Samuthirakani, Shamna Kasim, Boman Irani, Chirag Dani among others and is being planned for a release in the second half of this year.
Meanwhile, Shamna Kasim known among fans by her stage name Poorna has now revealed in a recent media interview that she will be seen as National Award-winning actor Samuthirakani’s wife in Kaappaan.
The actress also went on to reveal that Suriya would continue mouthing his dialogues corresponding to her lines in the background during the close-up shots that were fixed for her as a form of support .
Most of the film has already been shot with Mohanlal and Arya completing their portions and Suriya and KV Anand at present filming major scenes with production said to be nearing a finish soon.
Kaappaan will see Suriya playing a NSG Commando officer while Mohanlal as the Indian Prime Minister followed by Arya as his successor. Expectations for the film are tremendous as the film is an action thriller and includes huge talents in its team.
