As known already, actor Suriya will later this year be kick-starting work on director KV Anand’s next film making it the third occasion the two will be collaborating after their previous films, Ayan and Maattrraan.

With the Lyca Productions venture announced to include Harris Jayaraj as the composer, Jigarthanda fame Gavemic U Ary as the cinematographer, DRK Kiran as the art director and Pattukottai Prabhakar for the dialogues, anticipation has already shot up.

As of now, reports have emerged stating Suriya 37 will be shot in major locations across the world in cities including Delhi, New York and Brazil to name a few.

In the midst of this, one name in the Suriya 37 team that stands out is no doubt the film’s dialogue writer, Pattukottai Prabhakar. Fans of Tamil novels will know him to be the man behind many popular detective stories with his books predominantly featuring characters namely the investigative operatives, Bharath and Susheela.

In Pattukottai Prabhakar’s stories, the duo are seen running a detective agency and solve tough cases and several mysteries together. It must be noted KV Anand’s frequent writing duo collaborators Subha (Suresh and Balakrishnan) too congratulated Pattukottai Prabhakar on landing the coveted job on Facebook.

Fans of their books will know that the characters Bharath and Susheela from Pattukottai Prabhakar’s works have crossed over with characters namely Narendran and Vaijayanthi in Subha’s own line of detective stories.

Pattukottai Prabhakar’s involvement in Suriya 37 cannot be overlooked as no ordinary inclusion considering he is a powerhouse writing talent and his inputs will no doubt bolster the film’s narrative.

The question that now pops up is whether characters from Pattukottai Prabhakar’s books will make their way into Suriya 37 and if so, will Suriya be appearing on screen as a globetrotting detective.

For now, this is just a speculation and we shall have to wait to see how the film goes on to develop in the coming days.

Suriya is at present working on the much talked-about NGK under Selvaraghavan’s direction being produced by the Dream Warrior Pictures banner.
