Kannaadi is actor Sundeep Kishan's next release that has been made as a Tamil/Telugu bilingual. This intriguing thriller is directed by Caarthick Raju of Thirudan Police fame and produced by Viji Subramaniam. The press meet of this event happened yesterday at Prasad Labs that was attended by the film's cast and crew. Actor Sundeep, during his speech, shared the difficulties involved in making a film these days.

He said, "It has been close to two years since I saw myself on the big screen and I am excited about Kannaadi. These days, I feel scared while doing a film, because the process of making it and releasing it has become a herculean task. I know how much problems Subbu anna (producer Viji Subramaniam) has undergone in releasing this film. I stood in this same place one year back for the press meet of Naragasooran and that film is yet to release.

I feel so bad for Karthick Naren and he has already moved on to his next project. My film with CV Kumar, Maayavan released amidst so many issues and many people didn't even know that film came out. Later, when it came out on Amazon, people liked the film. We have made Kannaadi for the pure love of cinema and our audience and not for any selfish reasons."

While interacting with the press, the media asked him about one of the posters from Kannaadi in which Sundeep was kissing the heroine's (Anya Singh) back. On a fun note, the Maanagaram actor said, "It was just a new try.  Why don't you guys also try that (laughs). It is wrong only when you hit on one's back right? Is it wrong even if we kiss on one's back?"
