Sun Pictures have been on a roll of late after they went on to taste blockbuster successes with their comeback into film production with ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Sarkar released last year followed by this year’s Petta starring ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth and the recently released horror film, Muni 4: Kanchana 3, which had Raghava Lawrence in the lead role who also handled the directorial duties. It must be noted that the reputed production house also producing Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming, SK 16, under Kadaikutty Singam fame Pandiraj's direction.
Meanwhile, we had revealed a while back that a third film in the popular Aranmanai series is in early developmental stages with news now out that Sun Pictures will be producing the upcoming venture touted to be a horror comedy and will be directed by Sundar. C once again.
As of now, work is being carried out on Aramanai 3’s script with the cast and crew yet to be finalized and we can expect more word regarding this once Sundar. C completes his ongoing film with Vishal and Tamannaah in the lead roles.
It must be noted that the first Aranmanai film released in 2014 had Sundar. C, Vinay Rai, Hansika Motwani, Raai Laxmi and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead roles and went on to become quite a big success at the box office.
A sequel, Aranmanai 2, was released in 2016 with Sundar. C and Hansika reprising their roles alongside Siddharth, Trisha, Poonam Bajwa among others with the film too going on to emerge triumphant at the box office.
