A massive project right from its announcement, Maanadu, starring STR in the lead role to be directed by Venkat Prabhu will be produced by Suresh Kamatchi’s V House Productions banner.
Touted to be a political entertainer, Simbu’s Maanadu was in the news recently after various rumors popped up stating the film was dropped. Eventually, those reeports were outright completely shut down by producer Suresh Kamatchi.
Meanwhile, there has been fresh gossip now doing the rounds across social networking forums regarding the film’s shooting schedule. That said, we here at Galatta got in touch with V House Productions’ Suresh Kamatchi, who went on to state, “We have fixed our plans to begin shooting for Maanadu from May, but the date is yet to be fixed.”
When queried about whether Kalyani Priyadarshan was being eyed to play the role of the female lead in Maanadu, Suresh Kamatchi said, “That is yet to be fixed and we will soon make a decision.”
It must be noted STR is at present in London to undergo a transformation in his look with fitness programs for Maanadu with a couple of photographs of the swashbuckling star going onto trend virally on social media, which can be seen below.
