With just a few days for the release of Vandha Raajavathaan Varuven, STR's urging his fans to celebrate the release of VRV with plenty of 'Paal-Abhishekam' and erecting flex banners and cutouts has created a controversy for the film.

Following STR's video, The Tamil Nadu Milk Dealers Welfare Association (TNMDWA) has approached the Commissioner of Police, Chennai, with a letter requesting strict action against STR and also for a permanent ban on the culture of Paal-Abhishegam.

When we spoke to the officials of TNMDWA, they said that STR's statement is in the way of influencing his fans in a wrong way and it might also influence the fans of other big stars as well. In the letter to the commissioner, the association has a permanent ban on the act of Paal-Abhishegam and has also sought protection for their milk stores and packets on the release day of STR's VRV.

The association members have also asked for an apology from STR and also wants to withdraw his request for his fans and ask them not to indulge in such activities.
