Composer Srikanth Deva has been scoring music for south Indian films for nearly two decades now.


Some of his biggest hits include Jayam Ravi’s M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi, which fetched him a Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Music Director followed by the blockbuster Sivakasi starring 'Thalapathy' Vijay, Jiiva’s E among others. 


In that light, his upcoming film, Nagesh Thiraiyarangam is gearing up for a release this Friday. Starring Aari, Ashna Zaveri, Athulya and Masoom Shankar in lead roles, the film directed by Mohamad Issack under the Transindia Media & Entertainment Private Limited banner has quite a many horror fans excited. 


Having said that, Srikanth Deva announced today he has changed his name to just "Sri" in the hopes of a new innings in his film career.


The composer will be looking for a new lease of life in the form of Nagesh Thiraiyarangam.
