It was only sometime back earlier today when actor turned producer Dhanush took to Twitter to announce the trailer for his Wunderbar Films' production venture, Kaala, starring 'Superstar' Rajinikanth would be unveiled today (May 28) at 7PM.

Moments later, Rajinikanth’s daughter and Kochadaiiyaan director Soundarya Rajinikanth posted a tweet on her Twitter page as to why the May 28 date is an unforgettable day for her and her father’s countless fans.
Soundarya stated it was on May 28, 2011, seven years back, that her father had to be to be taken to Singapore for his medical treatment. And, that the Kaala trailer releasing today was a gesture of gratitude towards Rajinikanth’s fans, who prayed for the quick recovery of the 'Superstar'.

Directed by Pa. Ranjith, Kaala, hitting screens on June 7 is an action gangster film also starring Nana Patekar as the antagonist Hari Dada, Huma Qureshi as the heroine Zareena alongside Samuthirakani, Easwari Rao, Shayaji Shinde, Anjali Patil, Aravind Akash among others with music by Santhosh Narayanan.
