Yesteryear actor Sivakumar recently landed in a controversy for lending his voice to a serial. Ponni Vala Veera Sarithiram is a TV serial that is being telecast in a private channel.
A group of people from Coimbatore has alleged that the lines uttered by Sivakumar in the serial are insulting their caste. However, Sivakumar has stated that he hasn't spoken anything that is against a particular caste and those who have watched the serial would agree to it.
In his press statement, Sivakumar has requested to stop telecasting the serial as a group people are hurt by his action. He added that the channel management has given their word to stop the telecast.
