An exciting film right from the beginning for Sivakarthikeyan fans everywhere, Mr. Local, has been directed by M. Rajesh under the Studio Green banner with music by Hiphop Tamizha and had been announced for a release on May 17 after the initial plan to bring it out in theatres on May 1 didn’t materialize.
A rom com, Mr. Local will see Nayanthara play the female lead followed by Raadhika Sarathkumar, Thambi Ramaiah, Sathish, Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar among others in pivotal roles with the film’s fun-filled teaser and the "Takkunu Takkunu" and "Kalakkalu Mr Localu" tracks going on to receive a super response from fans.
Having said that, there have been rumors stating the Mr. Local team were planning reshoots, which director Rajesh has now clarified during a phone conversation as baseless. He further added that there is only minor patchwork for a day that will to be shot on May 2 and the film will definitely hit screens as planned on May 17.
Expectations for Mr. Local are quite huge considering it has Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara coming back on the big screen after their chemistry in the 2017 film, Velaikkaran, was lauded by fans everywhere.
