After standing tall at last year’s Jallikattu protests, Julie went on to be one of the participants last year in the first season of the hit Tamil reality TV show, Bigg Boss.

Ever since her stint in Bigg Boss, Julie has become one of the most talked-about people in the state and subsequently went on to be part of many endorsements.

She also went on to land a few acting opportunities starting with a cameo in Vemal’s Mannar Vagaiyara, released earlier this year.

Julie also went on to be named the female lead in a film titled Uthami in which she will be seen as as a social activist under the K7 Productions banner opposite Thappattam fame Durai Sudhakar, who will be playing a cop.

She also was announced to be part of another film titled Dr. S. Anitha MBBS, a biopic narrating the story of Anitha, the young girl from Ariyalur, who committed suicide last year as a mark of protest against the NEET examinations for medical college admissions.

Although the project was announced a while back, it has been revealed that iconic singer P. Susheela will be scoring the music for Dr. S. Anitha MBBS.

The upcoming film will incidentally mark the debut of P. Susheela as a music director. A Guinness World Record holder, she has sung over 40,000 songs till date in her illustrious career.
