Singapore's first Tamil film Singayil Gurushetram is ready

Singayil Gurushetram, Singapore's first Tamil film, is almost ready and will grace theatres soon. The film is jointly produced by Metro Films, Singapore Film Commission and Blue River Pictures, a Singaporean production company.

T.T. Dhavamanni, award winning director of many television movies, makes his big screen entry through Singayil Gurushetram. The technical crew includes European cinematographer Lucas Jodogne, music composer Rafee of Jaggubhai fame, and State award winning editor Praveen K.L. of Kollywood hits Saroja, Kanthaswamy and Goa. T.T. Dhavamanni has also penned the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film.

The film narrates the story of a 17 year old Indian teenager in Singapore, who heads a drug ring due to his family situation. The film stars newcomers Vishnu, Sivakumar, Mathialagan, Rajesh Kannan and Gunalan in prominent roles.
