As known already, actor Simbu posted a video yesterday stating he will be meeting the Chennai Police Commissioner today morning to know why fellow Chekka Chivantha Vaanam star Mansoor Ali Khan is still being kept under arrest after all the people who had taken part in the Cauvery-IPL protest were released.
Prior to the meeting today morning, STR met press persons to inform them him arriving at the Chennai Police Commissioner office was not a form of protest, but only on friendly terms. The actor stated he had come to the Commissioner Office to understand why Mansoor Ali Khan was arrested and also confessed he always had the greatest of respect for the Police department. He also refers to the tweet of Rajinikanth on a policeman getting physically attacked during the protest.
After his meeting with the Police Commissioner, Simbu interacted with the media once again and thanked the Police department for their support. The actor then went on to reveal he had discussed the reasons behind Mansoor Ali Khan's arrest and felt convinced about why he was arrested after his interaction with the police.
He further added Mansoor Ali Khan will most probably be released next Wednesday and that his family members will be allowed to him. An emotional Simbu then went on to state there is nobody without anybody and added if the veteran actor is detained even after Wednesday, he will take further steps.
STR also addressing the press went on to clarify he is not interested in politics and has requested people not to treat him like a politician.
