Shobhana visits Guruvayoor with adopted daughter

National award winning actress and Bharatanatyam exponent Shobhana, who retired from films at the height of her popularity to pursue her interest in dancing, visited the famous Sri Krishna Temple in Guruvayoor last week for the 'choroonu' and the naming ceremony of the six-month-old girl she adopted recently.

Accompanied by her mother Anandam and disciple Chithra Nair, the actress named the baby Ananthanarayani. They reached at 10 a.m. and offered a silver flute to Lord Krishna. After 'choroonu', they performed Thulabhaaram with butter for her daughter. Earlier, Shobhana held a big ceremony in Chennai to announce her decision to adopt a child.
