Veteran actor Sathyaraj had a super successful 2017 as he was seen in Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva, Baahubali 2, Mersal and Kalavaadiya Pozhuthugal, in which he portrayed the social reformer, Periyar.
Now, Sathyaraj, who has to his 2018 lineup films such as Venkat Prabhu’s multi-starrer comedy caper Party, Rana Daggubati’s Madai Thiranthu and the crime thriller Echcharikkai – Idhu Manidhargal Nadamaadum Idam has now signed up for an untitled project that will be about a haunted FM radio station.
To be directed by Kallapadam fame Vel, the filmmaker spoke about why he decided to cast Sathyaraj in the film. He states: "I am a strong believer of apt casting. More than half my job is done after getting Sathyaraj sir. No one else can play this character better. This is a supernatural thriller that is set in a FM station background. The story is mainly about the paranormal activities that takes place in a FM station in one night."
He further added, "To get the authenticity, we are looking to shoot the movie in a real FM station itself. This story and treatment is going to be an entirely new experience for the Tamil Cinema audiences, who have a special love for good horror movies. Other cast and crew are on the process of getting finalised. The details of them will be out very soon. I am excited to bring this script onto the screen through the mighty Sathyaraj sir playing the lead."
Sathyaraj is one of the few actors adored by fans of all stars and the veteran will want to continue proving his talents with this upcoming project once again.
