Announced officially last week to arrive in theatres as a Diwali release, ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Sarkar being directed by A. R. Murugadoss under the Sun Pictures banner with music by A. R. Rahman is one of the biggest and most anticipated films in recent times.
With months left for Sarkar to hit screens, it seems the makers have begun on the business front with the action political thriller’s Tamil Nadu theatrical rights reportedly being bagged by Thenandal Studio Limited.
Fans will know that Thenandal Studio Limited’s 100th production was Mersal released last year, which turned out to be a blockbuster.
Sarkar has a big star cast starting with actress Keerthy Suresh as the female lead with Livingston playing her father and Yogi Babu for the comedy.
Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is reportedly playing the USA-returned daughter of veteran actor Radha Ravi in the film, who is one of the antagonists apart from Pala Karuppiah.
