With his Sarkar released this Diwali under A. R. Murugadoss’s direction, that equation has skyrocketed substantially yet again. A Sun Pictures venture, the action political drama also starring Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi, Pala. Karuppiah, Yogi Babu with music by A. R. Rahman has grossed over 250 crores worldwide in quick time.
Meanwhile, Sarkar’s Tamil Nadu collections has now as per latest reports crossed 70 crores making Vijay the only Tamil hero to achieve this magnificent feat twice in his career and after last year’s Mersal. It must be noted ‘Thalapathy’ is also the only star in Tamil cinema to have six 100 crore collection films and has entered the 250 crore club twice till date.
With the gigantic success Sarkar has seen, it can be said without a shadow of a doubt that Vijay is here to reign at the top of the success ladder for a long time.
