It’s official - the first single track released from ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Sarkar titled “Simtaangaran” is a smash hit with fans lapping up the folk number composed by A. R. Rahman with high praise.

Meanwhile, one among the three singers who had sung “Simtaangaran”, Bamba Bakiya took to his Twitter page to thank A. R. Rahman for the opportunity as well as for believing in his abilities to deliver the output expected from him.

As of now, all sights are set on the Sarkar audio launch scheduled to take place at Chennai’s Sai Ram Engineering College on October 2.

Slated for a Diwali release in November, Sarkar directed by A. R. Murugadoss under the Sun Pictures banner will feature Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead alongside Livingston as her father and Yogi Babu for the comedic relief.
