A staunch opponent to smoking, Pattali Makkal Katchi leader and former Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Anbumani Ramadoss spoke against Vijay’s depiction in the Sarkar first look poster stating it would only lead to a negative influence among the actor’s fans and youngsters.
Soon after, Sun Pictures removed the Sarkar first look poster from their social networking pages after the Public Health Department issued notices to them, Vijay and director A. R. Murugadoss.
With the issue now settled, actor Simbu had a couple of days back released a video speaking about the title announcement of his upcoming film, Maanaadu, under Venkat Prabhu’s direction as well as broaching on the Sarkar first look issue.
In the video, STR went on to state cinema ought to be left alone as cinema and that he was willing to discuss with Anbumani Ramadoss, if need be.
Meanwhile, Anbumani Ramadoss, who during his interaction with press persons yesterday said there was no necessity for him to respond to any specific individual, but is willing to come forward and speak on the ill-effects of smoking if the Nadigar Sangam organized a meeting along with celebrities from the Tamil film industry’s participation.
