Cinematographer-director Santosh Sivan is the latest to make a film on Sri Lanka. Titled Ceylon, the film is made simultaneously in Tamil and English. The film stars a 15-year old boy in lead role. The Thuppakki cameraman has also clarified this film will have nothing to do with the LTTE.

Shot in Kerala, Ceylon is the story of four boys caught in the middle of the war in Sri Lanka. It is heard that Sivan spent months researching and getting footage for the film. The film is titled as Inam in Tamil.

"The conflict ended in 2009 but it still is a sensitive issue and I have tried to maintain an unbiased approach. My film is about human aspirations and emotions shattered by the war, not about the politics behind it," Sivan told a leading daily.
