Making his debut with Arjun Reddy, Sandeep Vanga is all set to set foot in the Hindi film industry with its remake Kabir Singh. On talking about this, the director also slipped in on an information that he has named his son Arjun Reddy, because he was born while they were in the midst of shooting of the movie. In the same interview, he also stated that it took longer to connect with and write the character, Kabir Singh. He also added that it was challenging to create a Mumbai born Punjabi boy who goes to study medicine at Delhi.

Drawing the similarities between both Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh, the director says that the Punjabi Singhs and Telengana Reddys are in a way similar with respect to food and drinking habits and being loud at emotional moments. Sandeep Vanga also said that for the Hindi version of the movie, he's always seen Shahid Kapoor in the titular role.

When questioned what his next project will be, he replied that he has narrated a story to Mahesh Babu. He also said that he's been scripting a crime drama, which will be a pan-Indian film.
