A film that has been in the making for quite sometime now, Sandakozhi 2 had its teaser launched just a few days back.
Being directed by Lingusamy, the film features music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Vishal reprising his role from the 2005 blockbuster, Sandakozhi.
Actress Keerthy Suresh, who is riding high on the success of her Mahanati in Telugu and Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil, is playing one of the female leads in Sandakozhi 2.
Furthermore, actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is said to have a massive and powerful role in the film.
As for the film's release date, no details have yet been revealed by the makers, but there are now reports doing the rounds stating Sandakozhi 2 would most probably make it to theatres on the occasion of Vinayakar Chathurthi.
On the production front, nearly 40 days of filming remains after which the makers will carry forward with full-fledged post-production.
