Actor Samuthirakani has carved a niche for himself as a dependable star and a valuable addition in the films he’s cast in.

Having won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2016 for Visaranai, Samuthirakani, who has also made a name for himself in the industry as a talented filmmaker is a busy man with a handful of projects at present.

Meanwhile, Samuthirakani had taken to his Twitter page to post an image of himself with National Award-winning director, Seenu Ramasamy, announcing they both will soon be working together.

As known already, Seenu Ramasamy is now involved in the post-production works of his upcoming film, Kanne Kalaimaane, starring Udhayanidhi Stalin and Tamannaah in lead roles.

That being said, an announcement in January was made regarding Seenu Ramasamy next teaming up once again with 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi for a film titled Maamanithan under Yuvan Shankar Raja’s YSR Films banner with himself, his father 'Isaignani' Ilaiyaraaja and his brother Karthik Raja jointly scoring the music.

With Samuthirakani tweeting his collaboration next with Seenu Ramasamy, one cannot but wonder if his casting is indeed for Maamanidhan, which would reportedly revolve around a renowned leader from the southern parts of Tamil Nadu to be portrayed by Vijay Sethupathi.

It must be noted Samuthirakani and Vijay Sethupathi have starred together only once till date in 2016 in the hit film, Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum.

On the other hand, Seenu Ramasamy’s tweet also suggests their partnership could also be for a completely new project altogether. Either ways, this is an exciting team up and will no doubt prove to be a big treat for Tamil film aficionados. We will now have to wait and see.
