Actor Samantha Akkineni is not slowing down post her marriage and is currently attached to as many as six projects in development.


Samantha will have her first release of 2018 in the form of the Vishal and Arjun starrer Irumbu Thirai, which is expected to arrive in theatres in next month.


She also has Super Deluxe opposite Vijay Sethupathi in which she plays a character named Vaembu.

A sizable portion of filming for her untitled project with Sivakarthikeyan under Rajini Murugan fame Ponram’s direction has also been completed.


She is also part of the Mahanati in Telugu, which is also being made in Tamil as Nadigaiyar Thilagam with Keerthy Suresh.

In addition, her Telugu period film Rangasthalam is also being prepped for a release later this year.

In the midst of all this, reports surfaced last year that Samantha was being eyed to star in the remake of the 2016 Kannada mystery thriller, U Turn, which had Shraddha Srinath playing the lead.


Now, the Mersal actor has herself confirmed on Twitter she will be starring in the U Turn Tamil-Telugu bilingual remake to be once again helmed by the original film’s director Pawan Kumar.

In addition, she also revealed the time the teaser for her Rangasthalam with Ram Charan once again on her Twitter page.
