A big jolt to actor Salman Khan and his countless fans came yesterday when the superstar was found guilty for killing two endangered blackbucks 20 years ago.
Salman Khan, who had been found guilty by the Jodhpur Sessions Court, was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment at the Jodhpur Central Jail.
It must be noted although Salman had not appeared before the court today, his lawyer had reached the Jodhpur Sessions Court with a 51-page bail application today morning. With his bail plea hearing reserved till Saturday, the popular actor had reportedly spent a sleepless night and will have to spend another night in the Jodhpur Central Jail as Qaidi (prisoner) No. 106 in barrack number one.
During the verdict yesterday, the judge stated, "The way the accused killed two innocent black bucks in violation of the wildlife laws...he is a film star, people emulate him... there has been a rise in poaching incidents, so leniency is not justified."
It must be noted Salman Khan is currently attached to films namely Race 3 and Dabangg 3 after which it was being reported he would star in Kick 2 and another film titled Bharat.
