Thala Ajith's blockbuster outing, Viswasam, directed by Siva completed its 50 days of run at the theatres with yesterday, February 28. Marking the special day, many theatres in and around Tamil Nadu planned a special screening of the film. Thala fans were at their highest excitement yesterday and it was indeed a big day for them. Viswasam, directed by Siva and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films was a massive hit, which released for the Pongal weekend, alongside Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta.

It looks like Ajith fans' excitement has gone a little overboard as they have damaged the screen of the iconic main screen of Rohini Silver Screens. The executive director of the theatre, Rhevanth Cheran, expressed his anger and disappointement through his tweet. He said, "Terribly atrocious behaviour .. Such Ill minded . COMPLETE ABUSE of full freedom given. Losing the morale of screening special shows just because of a few cheap people bringing disgrace to the entire fans. This seems deliberate and no one can stoop so low. #Viswasam".

He felt disappointed that the fans are taking over advantage of the freedom given to them to celebrate. The white screen is the biggest aspect of projecting a film as that only showcases the visuals of a film to the viewer. When that screen incurs damage, the movie watching experience for the audience could turn out to be different. This indeed is a financial loss for the theatre owners who would now focus to replace the screen with a new one.

Rhevanth also added that there will be no more special shows in Rohini Silver Screens until they find a solution to this. He tweeted, "No more special shows at @RohiniSilverScr until we find a permanent solution to safeguard our properties." Being a theatre known for its fan celebration and the electrifying ambience, this has indeed come as a shocker. We hope things get back to normalcy soon.
