Director Rathnakumar who made an impressive debut with Meyaadha Maan is currently waiting for the release of his second film Aadai. This female-centric film has Amala Paul as the lead who was last seen in the critically acclaimed, superhit film Ratchasan. Venkat Prabhu released the first look of Aadai a few months back which showed Amala Paul crying for her life and bleeding with torn dress. Now, the latest update regarding Aadai is that the film has been censored with ‘A’ certificate by the censor board. It looks like the director has made a bold film without compromising anything.

Aadai is produced Viji Subramaniyan under his banner called V Studios. The film’s soundtrack is composed by Pradeep Kumar while Vijay Karthik Kanna handles the cinematography department. Pradeep is a singer turned musician, he had previously composed 2 tunes for Meyaadha Maan and now he has also signed to produce songs for Sillu Karupatti directed by Halitha Shameen. One more specialty about Aadai is that the makers have gone for live sound recording instead of dubbing. Now that the film has been censored, we can expect the makers to come up with a release date soon.

We wish good luck to Amala Paul, Ratnakumar and team Aadai.
