It’s been less than a week since actor Rajinikanth made it official he would be foraying into politics in Tamil Nadu.

The 'Superstar' has since then also launched a website and an app that facilitates members of his fan clubs to enroll and register their names in order to strengthen support for his political journey.

With steps being taken one step at a time, Lyca Productions Creative Head Raju Mahalingam has now resigned from his position in the production house to join Rajini in his political quest.

It is said Raju Mahalingam has been mighty impressed with the vision and ideas Rajinikanth holds for the future of the people of Tamil Nadu.

It must be noted that the two have been working together on the highly ambitious 2.0 for nearly three years, the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster, Enthiran.

Slated for an April 14 release date, 2.0 also stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson with music by A. R. Rahman under the Lyca Productions banner.
