The results of Lok Sabha 2019 Elections were declared recently and Narendra Modi turned out to be the winner, forming the National Government for the second consecutive time. Kamal Haasan's Makkal Needhi Maiam was also one of the parties that contested in the 39 constituencies in Tamil Nadu. However, MNM didn't manage to win in any constituency and secured decent number of votes.

The party also turned out to be an alternative choice for the youngsters and the people of Tamil Nadu who wanted a change from the Dravidian parties. In the press meet post the election results, Kamal Haasan stated that the party is very much positive about the votes that they've got. He added that the party received lots of votes, more than what they actually expected. Superstar Rajinikanth, who is a contemporary politician and an actor, met the press and media outside his residence, this morning.

During the press meet, he was asked to comment about Makkal Needhi Maiam's performance in the election and also about his friend, Kamal Haasan. Rajinikanth stated, "A party which was started just 14 months back, and getting close to 4 percentage of the total votes in the Lok Sabha elections is a good number. My best wishes to him on this."

In the same press meet, Rajinikanth added that he would be attending Narendra Modi's swearing ceremony in New Delhi. On the acting front, the legend will resume shooting for the second schedule of Darbar, directed by A.R.Murugadoss and produced by Lyca.
