‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth, who is attending the fans meet for the fifth consecutive day today, took the opportunity to shed light on where his upcoming sci-fi action film 2.0 stands right now.
Also starring Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson and directed by Shankar under the Lyca Productions banner with music by A. R. Rahman, Rajini said that 2.0 is a standout on its own and that there could not be any other film like it.
He elaborated saying that apart from the big budget of 2.0, the film’s distinctive and novel content is what makes it rich. He beamed with confidence stating the film will be as memorable as the classic epic, Chandralekha.
On the film’s release date delay, Rajini clarified that extensive CGI works were ongoing. He added that A. R. Rahman is waiting for the final finished product with all the graphics work included to carry forward in one stretch for the re-recording. Hence, the release date had to be shifted from January 26 to April 14.
