With Shankar already kickstarting 2.0, all eyes are on the storyline. Like Enthiran, 2.0 will have Rajinikanth in dual avatar-- Scientist Vaseegaran and Robot Chitti. In addition, Amy Jackson plays Chitti's love interest and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar as the baddie. Writer Jeyamohan, who has carved the screenplay and dialogues, has revealed that in 2.0 Chitti will have a more in-depth role. It is also said that the role of the villain was originally written with Kamal Haasan, the character will multiple shades that will provide huge scope for Akshay to perform.
