Slated for a worldwide release on November 29, ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s 2.0 directed by Shankar under the Lyca Productions banner is finally hitting screens. Featuring music by Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman, the upcoming sci-fi magnum opus made at over 500 crores budget has Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar playing the antagonist and Amy Jackson as the female lead.

That said, it has been a common practice for many years where tickets are sold in black at staggering rates with Rajinikanth now issuing a statement condemning it altogether. In his statement issued via VM Sudhakar of the All India Rajinikanth Fans Club, the Petta star said that tickets bought should not be put out for sale to those who are not in the fans clubs and/or those who do not possess a membership. The veteran actor turned politician also added saying the tickets should be purchased as per the rates fixed by the government.
