There is way too much on Rajinikanth's plate, but we still can't get enough of him. Petta was indeed a delightful ride and the next opportunity to see the superstar in action would be Darbaar which is expected to hit the screens in time to make Pongal merrier. And ever since Lyca Productions sprung the first look poster on them with nearly no warning, Rajinikanth fans have been keeping an eye out for every morsel of news. Till date, there have been many reveals.

The poster has made it obvious that it is a cop story and this is exciting because Rajinikanth would be donning the police uniform after 27 years. AR Murugadoss's last film - Thuppakki - was also based in Mumbai. Rajini's Kaala was also set in the Mumbai slums. We know that the second schedule is going on full-scale, now sources say that the second schedule will be wrapped up by June 30 in Mumbai.

Nayanthara is the leading lady - the last we saw Nayanthara and Rajinikanth together was Chandramukhi. Santosh Sivan is doing on the camera (remember how pretty Urumi and Chekka Chivantha Vaanam looked?) and Anirudh is doing the music. The villains are from Bollywood: action-heavy Sunil Shetty and Prateik Babbar with that very familiar pair of eyes.
